AIB in cooperation with Clinica Rivas in Bogota, Colombia, provided a special pre-conference workshop and certification. Semana de la Otologia, widely recognized as a major medical education event, is in its 10th year. Under the direction of Dr. Antonio Rivas and Dra. Adriana Rivas, this year’s otology week was attended by leading physicians and audiologists throughout Latin America.

Neurologists, ENTs, and Audiologists from around the country participated in the two-day VNG Interpretation and Report Writing course @ AIB. Increased interest in diagnosis and treatment of the dizzy patient, has made this a very popular workshop. Therapists and audiologists from around the United States participated in the first Advanced VRT Course at AIB. AIB has been providing VRT courses since 1994. This course is designed for those furthering their education in vestibular rehabilitation. Topics included advanced VRT protocols to improve treatment outcomes for vestibular disorders. Additional topics included: pediatrics, psychological and psychiatric aspects of dizziness, and advanced BPPV treatment protocols. This two day worshop also allowed break-out sessions for demonstrations and hands-on learning with Dr. Gans.
