Program Description

The Pediatric Vestibular (Re)habilitation Certification Workshop is the most comprehensive course of its kind that focuses on vestibular disorders specific to the younger population of patients.  Delivered in a total of 19.5 contact hours, all aspects of the assessment, triage, and intervention of vestibular conditions will be thoroughly covered. Taught by an interdisciplinary healthcare team, the approach will highlight the importance of an evidence-based holistic framework of patient-centered care.  Hands-on lab will reinforce correct techniques during a lively interactive yet intense course. Following completion of this course and satisfactory results on the examination, the participant will be recognized as being certified in pediatric vestibular assessment & rehabilitation.

Learning Objectives

  • Examine common vestibular disorders that present primarily in the pediatric population
    Integrate and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing procedures
  • Assess unique considerations for pediatric patients when developing rehabilitation interventions
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop a rehabilitation approach to care
  • Measure key markers for assessment of a pediatric concussion
